Mentoring with Designlab

Since August of 2018, I have been working as a mentor to help people who are actively seeking a shift in their careers as they learn user experience design. Through UX Academy, Designlab is training the next generation of designers.

UX Academy students receive world-class 1-on-1 online training in UX design, access to a vibrant community, and help landing that first product design job.

There are courses available for experienced designers who want to level up in the field of UX research and design. There are courses for those who are just beginning their careers as designers.

Design 101

No design experience? Join our rigorous 4-week Design 101 online course! You’ll embark on a 1-on-1 journey with your Designlab mentor to learn the fundamentals of design. This is the necessary first step for beginners who hope to pursue a career in product design.

UX Academy

Learn Essential Skills

You’ll learn design essentials through over 480 hours of coursework, more than 100 hands-on exercises and a total of 4 portfolio projects, and community & mentor-based interaction.

Design Mentoring

Building on 30 years of experience as a designer to combine empathy, creativity and technical proficiency as a full stack developer, designer, and UX Academy mentor. Working with other designers, professionals, and businesses, we have a vision to create opportunities for people to participate in events, workshops, and projects to extend the options already available through Designlab’s online platform.
